Software as a Service (SaaS) Online Services

For organizations wishing to take advantage of Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings from various vendors, CCO's consultants can provide a number of services to help organizations.  SaaS offerings include Microsoft's offerings such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Office Communications Server, and CRM Online where organizations can take traditional inhouse server technologies and move them into an outsourced provider environment.  Some of the services that CCO provides in terms of SaaS include:

  • Providing pros/cons of the various SaaS providers available on the marketplace (ie: SalesForce.com, RackSpace Hosted Exchange, Microsoft Business Productivity Online Service (BPOS), etc.
  • Understanding the features / functions that are gained or lost when migrating from an inhouse service to a hosted service (ie: do Blackberries still work when Exchange is hosted elsewhere, can you do email archiving and e-Discovery of hosted messages, will employees be able to use integration applications like CRM-linked applets to Outlook/Exchange in the hosted Exchange environment, etc)
  • Assisting with the migration planning process on specifically how to migrate applications to the SaaS provider with the least amount of impact to employees
  • Identifying how long it will take to upload existing email, files, documents, and data to the SaaS provider (and thus staging or scaling the migration accordingly)
  • Performing the migration process based on migration best practices
  • Decommission existing internal systems once the migration has been complete
  • Providing consulting assistance and knowledge transfer on administering an environment with local user authentication, local desktop administration and management, with SaaS online hosted applications (ie: password, account, and distribution list synchronization, local user data / hosted data synchronization, etc)
