Online Seminar - e-Mail Archiving and Message Retention

This seminar conducted by Convergent Computing President, Rand Morimoto, covers 3rd party products available for Microsoft Exchange that provide e-mail archiving, message retention, and message recovery to meet the various message management (and regulatory) requirements of organizations. Rand addresses a shift away from mailbox size limits to a message archiving and storage management strategy that enables organizations to selectively manage and maintain protected or legally regulated e-mail messages for appropriate 3-yr, 5-yr, 7-yr, or longer timeframes.

Topics covered in this session include:
* what tools are available to archive email messages for long term storage
* available tools to archive email messages for near online and real time access
* resources available to manage messages stored on an Exchange server such as short term and long term message retention
* tools available to automatically identify key “protected” or “regulated” content that needs to be stored and managed (and the extraction and removal of non-protected and non-regulated content to clear up disk space)
* how to setup a message recovery system that provides access to stored messages for future recovery
* how to search and extract messages off tape or raw EDB Exchange databases relatively quickly and easily
* how to use the email archiving, retention, and extraction tools to recover lost or damaged mailboxes

You should download and print the slide deck and demo slides that will be used throughout this session
