CCO President, Rand Morimoto was on the cover of Information Security magazine after being interviewed on the topic of security in the Windows Server 2008 product.

Rand wrote the 1400-page book Windows 2008 Unleashed that was released at the time Windows 2008 shipped in February 2008. The book is based on 3-1/2 years of early adopter experience Rand and the consultants at Convergent Computing had in working with Windows 2008 in production environments before the formal product release.

Rand's comments on security addressed built-in security in Windows 2008, Network Access Protection (NAP), wireless security, improvements in Group Policy security, enhancements in client to server communications security, and the like.
